Resident Services Program

The Resident Services Program provides services and activities which are designed to encourage economic self-sufficiency and improve the quality of life for families and elderly/disabled individuals who reside in subsidized housing.  The primary objective of the Resident Services Program is to strengthen family foundations, offer positive activities for children, identify employment and training opportunities, and refer families and individuals to community resources such as utility payment assistance, community services programs and support groups.  This service is available only to Public Housing residents.

Upland Housing Authority's Resident Services Program includes, but is not limited to:

Family Services:

  • Counseling

  • Goal setting

  • Prevention and Intervention

  • Mentoring

 

Youth Activities & Services:

  • Homework Reading Club

  • Recreational and Sports Activities

  • Computer Labs/ Homework Assistance

  • Preschool Activity Room

 

Educational Services:

  • Substance Abuse Education

  • Neighborhood Watch

 

Employment & Training Opportunities:

  • College Applications

  • Employment Applications and Resumes


Students enjoy using the computers provided by the homework/reading club to prepare schoolwork, play educational games, and practice computer skills.


The club offers a special area with books and toys geared toward younger children.
